The healing power of story: Snow White and the Seven Dwarves –exploring configurations
Full cost £65 Trainee £25 Financial constraints free if a viable group
‘A configuration of self is a hypothetical construct denoting a coherent pattern of feelings thoughts and preferred behavioural responses symbolised or pre-symbolised by the person as reflective of a dimension of existence within the self’ (Thorne and Mearns, 2000). Using the characters of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, participants will be able to discover their own and client’s ‘configurations of self’, gaining insights into the darker ‘shadow’ aspect of the Wicked Stepmother, the innocence and naiveté of Snow White, the rescuer of Prince Charming and the other possibilities in the cast of this story. An opportunity to explore in a lighter way the inner aspects of self.
