Welcome
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor offering warmth and support as you talk through and make sense of what is concerning you.
Are you feeling anxious, down or that life is not going as well as you had hoped?
It could be that these feelings are recent or that you have felt like this for a while, perhaps since childhood. Whatever is concerning you, I am here to listen and empathise.
How often do you feel that you are truly listened to?
Counselling is a unique opportunity to be heard and accepted as you are. Talking through your worries in a supportive environment can feel like a relief, it can provide validation, you may feel like a weight has been lifted. Sharing your concerns and worries can be the start to you feeling differently.
My approach to counselling
I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is key to the success of therapy. I work to establish and develop a strong therapeutic relationship so that, together we can explore what it is you are finding challenging.
As our relationship develops, we create a shared understanding of you and your life, in our sessions we can explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and life experiences at your pace.
This exploration and processing enables you to understand yourself in new ways, from this new understanding you may feel more comfortable with yourself and from there you can identify any changes you would like to make.
My Offer to you
I offer you each session an opportunity to talk freely and in confidence without judgement, opinion or advice. I listen to you and work with you to understand what is getting in the way of you living a more fulfilling life. This time is for you to discover and focus on what is important to you
