My name is Helen Richardson and I am 59 and have been a counsellor for 24 years, having a Diploma in Counselling, 2000, and a Masters in Person-Centred Psychotherapy in 2010. I have a background in mental health nursing and before that in general nursing. I was introduced to Carl Rogers in 1989 during my mental health nursing training and have always found it necessary and sufficient to help people reveal their inner confidence , and grow towards who they really are.
In my early days I worked for Cruse and an EAP and then went on to University, counselling for students with a wide variety of issues and ages. I have also been in private practice since 2005 and am a supervisor since 2012.

Areas of practice
I offer a solid warm and understanding relationship, listening to a person's feelings and helping explore their meanings and allowing their thoughts to flow so they actualise better.
I work with general life issues , depressions and anxieties but put the person at the heart as is the Person-Centred way.
