Hi my name is Tracy and I provide therapy for adult clients in person from my Nottingham-based therapy room or remotely online via zoom.
As a Person-Centred Psychotherapist, I have supported people experiencing a range of needs for seeking therapy. These have included anxiety, depression, past trauma, stress, loneliness, low self-esteem, questioning their own identity or exploring the impact of their neurodiversity (including ADHD and Autism). Some have been struggling with how they feel stuck and want to understand why. Whereas others feel they need to explore the impact of the trauma, abuse or discrimination they have experienced and how this can make them feel about themselves. Our sessions will allow whatever is there for you to be explored in a non-judgemental and accepting environment. We can work together to find the solutions and outcomes you feel will support you in making the choices and changes you feel would benefit you going forward.
I believe you are the person who knows yourself best, and you will be the focus of our sessions. It is for me to provide a safe and trusting environment in which you can connect, at your pace, with your inner thoughts and whatever worries, concerns, or behaviours that you feel are causing you to be anxious, unhappy, fearful or making life difficult to cope with. I will not tell you what to do, try to fix you or dismiss what you bring. I will come to our sessions with a gentle curiosity and warmth supporting you to consider and explore what is preventing you being who or where you want to be.

Areas of practice
I am a MSc qualified and UKCP accredited person-centred psychotherapist providing psychotherapy services from my private practice in Nottingham. I have been working with clients since 2020 providing both long and short term therapy.

Special areas
I have an interest in being with clients as they explore their identity and what their identity means to them, and how it may be perceived, or received, by others in our society. This exploration has allowed us to consider the effects this has on their self-image, worth and esteem and how to strengthen the internal self-belief and acceptance that it is okay to be the identity they perceive themselves as. As a therapist I have explored with clients their identity in relation to race, culture, religion, sexuality, gender, neurodiversity, working life and within relationships.
