Hello, I'm Rachael. I'm a UKCP Registered Person-centred Psychotherapist.
As your therapist, I aspire to actively create a prizing and respectful therapy space for you to explore and reflect upon what's most relevant for you in your life.
During our sessions, I will be alongside you in whatever you choose to bring and be guided by the pace with which you share your experiences. I’ll endeavour to sensitively and respectfully communicate my moment-to-moment empathic understanding of what might be going on for you which may help you to see yourself in new ways and with greater clarity. Communicating empathy and warmth towards you and prizing whatever you choose to share in our sessions are the cornerstones of my practice, as is responding to you with authenticity and consideration.
Taking the time to explore what’s troubling you within a therapeutic environment may help you to feel more settled within yourself and self-accepting. It may also help to develop a deeper sense of connection with others in your life and the world around you.
If you would like to talk further about therapy please feel free to contact me. Following that, we can arrange an initial session and discuss how you would like to use our time together.

Areas of practice
Over the years, I have worked with clients in short-term, medium-term and long-term therapy. I’ve been privileged to work with many clients of differing ages, genders, sexualities (or none), ethnicities, abilities/disabilities, nationalities and social-cultural backgrounds as well as those who hold religious beliefs or no belief.
I have experience in facilitating therapy relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds; sitting with and supporting them in their struggles, moments of sadness, frustration, anger, hope, joy and growth.
I have undertaken specialist training for working with LGBTQIA people, sex workers. social issues impacting men and working sensitively with neurodivergent ways of being. I have experience of working with the partners of transgender and non-binary people wishing to explore their experiences.
Other areas I have practice experience of:
- Experiences beyond words/not being able to put experiences into words
- Familial estrangement and chosen families
- Gender and relationship diversity and expression across genders and relationship types
- Working with asexual/ace clients
- Coming out issues for LGBTQ+ people and the impact of heterosexism/homophobia/biphobia transphobia
